5 WAYS TO BRAID YOUR HAIR
The most popular hair braiding styles as seen on celebrities.
Judging by the red carpet looks, hair braiding is in fashion again. Chunky and thin, double and single braids – the ELLE magazine knows at least 5 ways of the trendy French hair braiding.
KIM KARDASHIAN STYLE INSIDE OUT BRAIDS
After Kim and her little daughter North West were both seen with their hair braided inside out, the hairstyle became a fashion trend overnight, similar to the face contouring that Kim basically invented.
Red carpet celebrities have appeared wearing fishbone braids for a few seasons in a row now. Variations are numerous – one braid or two, sleek or with face framing strands.
HIGH PONYTAIL BRAID
High or low ponytail braided classic style is another popular trend of the season. The similar hairstyle was worn by Kendall Jenner at the Met Gala, and Blake Lively at the Cannes Film Festival.
Loose hair braids look just as glamorous, no matter if they are straight or curvy.
5 STRAND FRENCH BRAID
If you are after Kate Middleton’s hairstyle, you need to detangle your hair thoroughly, split the section at the back of your head into 5-6 equal strands. Cross strand 1 under strand 2, then over strand 3. Pull tight. Cross strand 5 under strand 4, then over strand 1. Pick up a little hair from your hairline on the left side and add it to strand 2. Continue until you reach the nape of your neck. Obviously the strands will be in different positions, so to put it in general terms, you cross the leftmost/rightmost strand under the one next to it, then over the middle strand, adding in little bits of hair from your hairline as you go. Once you reach your neck, continue weaving the 5 strands in the same pattern, and secure at the bottom with a hair-band.
